And the scribes of the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, "Why does he eat with tax collectors and sinners?" And when Jesus heard it, he said to them, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick; I came not to call the righteous, but sinners" (Mark 2:16-17).
Reflection
Rather than being judgmental against others, why not join the Lord in extending your arms to those who are in need?
Not all are fortunate to live in comfort and peace as you do and by all means you should thank the Lord for it. The best way to show your gratitude to the Lord is to have pity and acquire His compassionate heart for the poor, the sick, the needy, and the lost.
Follow Him today as He touch the lives of those who need His love, care, understanding, and help.
Prayer
Lord, all of us are sick in one way or the other and we are in dire need of your love and care over our lives. Have mercy on us all for we are all sinners. Pour out your glory upon us that will transform and renew our lives to have a merciful and compassionate heart that resembles your true nature and presence in us. We love you and adore you for in you, we were all made children of God. May we all work for the glory of your Name by following you in helping those who are in need. All glory and praises to you our Lord and Savior, now and forever. Amen.
